About the ballet:
The historical premiere of the ballet “Swan Lake” took place in 1895 on the stage of the Mariinsky Theater in St. Petersburg. “Swan Lake” is the greatest classical ballet created by the genius composer P. Tchaikovsky with choreography by M. Petipa and L. Ivanov. “Swan Lake” is a story of love and happiness, the struggle against dark forces, and love as the highest expression of humanity.
The story is based on an old German folk tale about the beautiful girl Odette, who was turned into a white swan. Only selfless love can free her from an evil spell. Prince Siegfried, a romantic young man, finds himself at the magic lake; in Odette, he sees his ideal woman, falls in love with her, and swears eternal love. But an Evil Genius appears in the path of the Prince’s dream…
