Two clowns, Ceko and Pepo, are on their way to perform at Mr. Godo's circus in a distant city. But when they arrive at the train station, Ceko and Pepo realize they have missed their train and are left with two suitcases. Waiting for the next train to arrive, the two budding clowns start rehearsing for the evening's performance.
Ceko, cocky and confident, is jealous of his co-star Pepo. Pepo, being a very well-meaning and positive person, does not realize this and tries to make sense of Ceko's capricious behavior. Because of his jealousy, Ceko wants to do the show alone, but despite several attempts, they all end in failure. Ceko, lonely because of his selfish and arrogant attitude, realizes how much he needs his friend who is always there for him and understands the value of their friendship.
