Join us at the QE2 for a series of captivating poetry performances this October and November. Designed to inspire, educate, and entertain, these shows bring poetry to life for both public and school audiences.

1. The Poets’ Quest - 4 PM

Suitable for: 8-14 year olds and families

• Embark on a thrilling adventure with William Blake (an actor, not the historical figure) as he discovers that the fate of the world depends on his poetic skills.
• Journey through time to help Blake win back his true love, Grace, and save the world.
• Learn to master rhyme, rhythm, and imagery while rooting for Blake's quest.

2. Muse It or Lose It - 6 PM

Suitable for: 13-16 year olds and families

• Explore the magic of self-expression through poetry and creative writing.
• Witness a comedic debate on Mount Olympus where the Muses argue over music versus poetry.
• Experience live performances that link classic literature with contemporary works, featuring techniques like metaphor and symbolism.

3. Words of War - 8 PM

Suitable for: 14 years old to Adult

• Dive into the powerful world of Wilfred Owen's poetry, including works like "Dulce et Decorum Est" and "Anthem for Doomed Youth."
• Explore poetic techniques such as imagery, irony, and rhythmic schemes against the backdrop of World War I's harsh realities.
