Searching for Pierrot is a one-person coming-of-age play written and performed by Gillian Rhodes. Gillian deftly portrays multiple characters, telling the story of a young boy growing up in the late 19th century. A surprising encounter with the famous sad clown of the pantomimes, Pierrot, sets off a chain of events that leads the boy through the city, from the freak show to the opera and all the way to the future. He meets a host of colorful and mysterious characters that prompt him to question what it really means to be remarkable, and what it costs.
Searching for Pierrot has been performed in the US and Pakistan to high acclaim, touching audiences of all ages and backgrounds.
