Short+Sweet 2024, the ‘’biggest little play festival’’ returns for its 12th Edition in Dubai. The popular 10-minute play festival will run from the 13th of January to the 3rd of March 2024 at The Junction, Alserkal Avenue. With this year’s theme ‘’A Tapestry of Tales”, the festival brings the Dubai theater community together for 8 weeks of theatrical magic.
Featuring over 70, 10-minute plays who battle it out for a spot in the Gala Finals, the participants can be of any age, cultural background, and the play of any format – the ONLY rule – it shouldn’t exceed 10 minutes. This edition will also feature the Regional Week (3rd week of the festival) – which is focused on non-English plays. The 4th week this year is sustainability and climate change themed week – where the plays are 10 minutes based on either or both themes.'

- The doors open at 07:15 p.m. and the show kicks off at 07:30 p.m. ensuring you have ample time to settle in.
How to get there:By car: Al Serkal Avenue is located in the Al Quoz industrial area of Dubai, and it can be easily reached by car. If you're coming from Sheikh Zayed Road, take the Al Manara exit (exit 43) and turn right onto Al Manara Street. Continue straight until you reach the first intersection and turn right onto 8th Street. Keep driving straight until you reach the roundabout, take the second exit, and continue onto 17th Street. You'll find Al Serkal Avenue on your left.
By public transportation: To reach Al Serkal Avenue by metro, take the Dubai Metro Red Line and get off at the On Passive Station. From there, you can take a taxi or a bus to Al Serkal Avenue, which is just a short drive away.
By taxi: You can also take a taxi to Al Serkal Avenue from anywhere in Dubai. It's a famous destination and most drivers would be familiar with its location.
