St Paul's Cathedral

Experience St. Paul's Cathedral: climb the dome, hear whispers, and explore centuries of history.
Dedicated to Paul the Apostle, there has been a Cathedral on the same site since 604 AD, created in its present form by Sir Christopher Wren in the 17th century after the Great Fire of London. Dominating the London skyline for 300 years, St Pauls Cathedral has seen many historic events including the wedding of Princess Diana and Prince Charles, and is the final resting place for multiple prominent figures from history including Admiral Lord Nelson, and Sir Christopher Wren himself. Walk under the instantly recognisable Dome which stands at 365 feet, one for every day of the year, notice that the floor plan of the entire building is in the shape of a cross, and just marvel at the stunning feat of engineering and architecture. Or why not climb 257 steps from the Cathedral floor to the Whispering Gallery, the first of three Dome Galleries. Whisper along the curving wall and anyone positioned along the wall will be able to hear you! If 257 steps aren’t challenging enough, climb 376 to the Stone Gallery and 528 to the Golden Gallery. Sir Christopher Wren: The Quest for Knowledge Exhibition
This year marks the 300th anniversary of the death of Sir Christopher Wren, a revolutionary scientist, mathematician, and architect responsible for building the new St Paul’s Cathedral after the Great Fire of London. This special exhibition will explore the early life and work of Christopher Wren as well as his lesser-known achievements in mathematics, astronomy and physiology. Uncover drawings, designs, photographs and personal artefacts from a time in history which saw science and religion interlock and transforming views of society.
