Standing 828 meters high in Downtown Dubai, Burj Khalifa is the tallest building in the world. The Chicago-based architectural firm Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) designed the building, which also designed iconic buildings such as the Willis Tower in Chicago and the One World Trade Center in New York City. In addition to being the tallest building in the world, it also holds the record for the highest observation deck, the highest outdoor observation deck, and the tallest service elevator.
